FAQs

How is your soap made?  We use the cold-process method with all natural ingredients to make each batch of soap.  In a nutshell, here's how it's made:  You mix your fats  with sodium hydroxide (lye)...it goes through a process called saponifcation (starts turning into soap)... we add in our essential oils, clays, herbs... then, it get's poured into a mold where it hardens and fully saponifies for about 24 hours ... finally, it's cut and placed on a rack where it cures for at least 30 days.

What is the shelf life of your products? Because our non-soap products are naturally preserved, we recommend using them within one year of purchase.  Soap will last longer, but will eventually start to lose it's scent and may discolor.  Use and enjoy your products.  That's what they're made for.

Do I need to wash my face before and after using the Cleansing Oil?  No.  The Cleansing Oil is all you need to clean your face.  Use it to remove your makeup and for everyday/night cleansing.

Are you soaps recommended for people with eczema and psoriasis?  Yes!  Our soaps don't contain any synthetic ingredients making it perfect for people with skin problems.

How long will a bar of soap last? It depends on how often you use it and how you store it when it's not being used.  Always store your soap on a well-drained dish out of direct streams of water.  Each bar should last about 1 - 2 weeks in the shower and longer if it's only used as a hand soap.

How do you scent your products?  We use only therapeutic grade essential oils and 100% natural ingredients. You will never find synthetic fragrance/perfumes in any of our products.

Why palm-free?  The heavy use of palm oil in the cosmetic industry directly contributes to the destruction of rainforests and delicate ecosystems. We choose not participate in unsustainable and unethical practices which is why you will never find palm oil in our soap.
